My husband, 2 year old son, and I live in a little cottage within city limits in a neighborhood surrounded by houses in West Virginia. However, little by little, we are doing what we can to create our little urban homestead. I raise Holland Lops, the city approved us to own 6 hens, I love making homemade food, and love finding ways to grow in my knowledge and put into practice more self sufficient and sustainable practices.

Aside from our little urban homestead, my husband is the worship pastor at our church and he and I lead music together. I’ve also been a licensed cosmetologist for the last 11 years, but only work one day a week with that as I love being more of a stay at home momma.
